Regional Alliance Community Engagement

Community Engagement

Community engagement events were convened by the Regional Alliance for Rural Health in the Interior Health region in the spring of 2018.

The Regional Alliance for Rural Health hosted a series of Community Engagement events across the Interior in April and May 2018 to shape the Alliance and to inform future rural health research priorities. The aim of the meetings was to ensure that people most affected by health research have a VOICE in shaping the research. Funds for these events were provided by the Rural Health Services Research Network BC, UBC Engagement Partnership Recognition Fund, South Okanagan Similkameen Division of Family Practice, and the Kootenay Boundary Local Government Association along with support for travel for Indigenous participants from the First Nations Health Authority.
