A PARTNERSHIP IN RESEARCH PRESENTATION

and VOICE Campus Health Project, University of British Columbia Okanagan

PRESENTERS:

Kyle Potter, BSc Honors Psychology student, UBC Okanagan

Casey Hamilton, RD, MSc, Campus Health Specialist, UBC Okanagan

ABSTRACT: Campus Health VOICE research indicates that students want alternative ways to increase their physical activity and reduce sedentary behaviour. In collaboration with the UBC Okanagan library, a treadmill desk and bicycle were installed for library users. A description of the implementation and evaluation of the active study project will be provided, as well as plans for expanding access to active study stations on campus.
