This research cluster team aims to build a framework for community-engaged community health research and knowledge translation.
ABSTRACT
This interdisciplinary team from the Faculty of Health and Social Development, Irving K. Barber Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Faculty of Education and Faculty of Medicine will design, implement and evaluate interventions that address three community-identified health priorities: mental health and aging, obesity and diabetes, and aboriginal and rural health. Using systematic, evidence-based, and community-engaged processes, the research team will help guide current and future UBC Okanagan researchers in undertaking meaningful community health research and knowledge translation activities.
The team received a UBCO Cluster of Research Excellence award in 2017.
