Campus Health is also supported by the VOICE Research Advisory Committee, and undergraduate and graduate students working with us as volunteers, in work study positions, and as wellbeing scholars.
The Campus Health team works with students, staff, faculty, and other community members to improve the wellbeing of the UBCO campus community. Using population level health promotion approaches and community-based participatory action research methods via the VOICE research project, the team explores and addresses factors that influence campus wellbeing. Students, staff and faculty are engaged in collective action using VOICE findings to improve campus wellbeing. Campus Health is guided by the Okanagan Charter: An International Charter for Health Promoting University and Colleges, which calls upon post-secondary schools to embed health into all aspects of campus culture and to lead health promotion action and collaboration locally and globally. More information about Campus Health Voice Research and action groups is available on the Campus Health website: http://campushealth.ok.ubc.ca/. Campus Health is funded by the BC Ministry of Health with oversight by Interior Health.
