PROJECT ABSTRACT

Based on the literature and co-created in collaborative consultation with nearly 400 seniors, Walk ‘n’ Talk for Your Life (WTL) is a 10-week community-based program of socialization/health education (SHE) and graduated physical activity for older adults at risk of social isolation and loneliness (SI&L).

Ongoing program analyses reveal that by program end, participants show promising increases in functional fitness and decreases in measures of loneliness and social isolation.

This program is also being carried on at Sun Pointe Village Baptist housing by their specially trained activities coordinator
