Small Steps for Big Changes is a lifestyle counselling program that can help people make lasting dietary and exercise changes in order to lower their risk of developing type 2 diabetes in the future.

Congratulations to Dr. Mary Jung and her team on their successful healthy cities implementation science team grant entitled:  Small Steps for Big Changes: Implementing an Evidence-based Prevention Program to Diverse Urban Communities.  The team will test the implementation of the Small Steps for Big Changes program in cities where Type 2 Diabetes rates are high and diabetes prevention programs remain inaccessible. Over the net six years and in partnership with YMCAs in Canada and Australia, the program will be offered and evaluated in 16 urban municipalities.
