Our IHLCDP Associates, Dr. Donna Kurtz and Dr. Katrina Plamondon and were recognized for their accomplishments by the Association of Nurses and Nurse Practitioners of BC (NNPBC) with an Excellence in Advancing Nursing Knowledge and Research Awards.
Dr. Kurtz was recognized for her outstanding research in the field of Indigenous health promotion and her unwavering commitment to making a difference for Indigenous persons individually, at a community level, and across Canadian society. Dr. Plamondon’s award was in recognition of her exceptional accomplishments in the field of health equity and global health research, along with her significant contributions to identifying knowledge translation practices to support more meaningful use of evidence to guide health equity action. On behalf of the IHLCDP, we extend our sincere congratulations to Drs. Kurtz and Plamondon on their awards.
