B.C.’s new vaping regulations: What else is needed?

Vaping

Youth vaping use has surged across Canada, researchers have found.

Dr. Laura Struik, an IHLCDP Associate and expert on youth vaping and smoking at UBCO’s School of Nursing, discussed the importance of preventing youth from using nicotine-based vaping products with Moira Wyton, of the TYEE. Dr. Struik said it is one thing to implement regulations, but it is also important to be ready to catch people on the other side and have programs and interventions in place to help hold them through this addiction.
