The Kelowna Homelessness Research Collaborative (KHRC) is a new interdisciplinary team of UBCO researchers and graduate students, and community partners. With expertise from diverse fields including anthropology, data science, economics, engineering, geography, management, medicine, neuroscience, nursing, social work, and sociology, the team is focused on finding solutions to address the homelessness crisis and the community impact of stigma. Led by Dr. John Graham, this collaborative grew out of the need to embed research in Kelowna’s Journey Home Strategy to better understand intersecting facets of homelessness and offer evidence-based approaches to mitigate and eradicate it.
