  • Associate Professor, School of Health and Exercise Sciences,
    Faculty of Health and Social Development, UBC Okanagan

Areas of Research Interest:

  • Interplay between physical activity, aerobic fitness and cardiometabolic health in children and how age, maturation, sex and body composition influence these relationships
  • Factors that regulate how quickly aerobic metabolic pathways can respond to the energetic challenges of physical activity in a child when there are rapid transitions between rest and movement of varying intensity
  • Epidemiological research to understand the associations between habitual activity patterns in children and cardiometabolic health
